CHIAO-TZU WITH LAMB STUFFING SNACKS RECIPES

CHIAO-TZU WITH LAMB STUFFING SNACKS RECIPES

Ingredients (Serves 4)

2 cups refined flour

1 cup cooked minced mutton or keema

1 small onion, minced

1/2 inch piece ginger, minced

100 gm boiled peas

Salt to taste

1 tsp soya sauce

Preparation

 

Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry onion and ginger for 1 minute. Put in all the above ingredients with the exception of flour. Mix well and remove from fire. Put enough water in flour to make a stiff dough. Divide the dough and the filling into equal number of portions. Rollout the dough into a thin round shape, place a portion of the filling in the centre of the round then fold over to form half-moon shapes. Seal and pinch the edges together. Deep fry to a golden colour and serve hot either with garlic sauce or sweet and sour sauce. In China they are served for breakfast with rice congee and tea.
