Faalse ka sherbet

Faalse ka sherbet

1 ½ cups ripe faalse

¾  cup sugar

1 teaspoon cumin seeds, roasted and ground

Salt to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Black salt to taste

Wash the faalse well and soak in four cups of lukewarm water for three hours.

Crush the faalse with your hands and strain the juice into a jug.

Stir in the sugar, half the roasted cumin powder, salt and lemon juice.

Place in a refrigerator to chill.


Pour into individual glasses and serve chilled, sprinkled with remaining roasted cumin powder and black salt.
