SPICED 2 GRAIN PANCAKE SNACKS FOR DIABETICS

SPICED 2 GRAIN PANCAKE SNACKS FOR DIABETICS

Ingredients (Makes 14 Pancakes)

1 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup toasted wheat germs

1 cup milk

1 cheese

3/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

1'/4 tsp dry ginger powder

1'/4 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp ground cloves

1 tsp salt

Refined oil for brushing griddle

Preparation

In a blender blend all the ingredients except the oil until just combined. Heat a non-stick tawa over moderate heat until hot enough to make a drop of water scatter over surface and brush with oil. Working in batches, drop scant 1/4 cup batter into tawa. Rotate taw a to form pancakes about 10 cm in diametre and cook until bubbles appear on surface and undersides are brown, about 2 minutes. Flip pancakes with a spatula and cook until undersides are golden brown and pancakes are cooked through, about 2 minutes.

 

Variation: Serve with any curry of your choice. These c-an be stuffed with a filling of your choice and baked, too.
