Konasana

Standing with feet apart as wide as possible, the left hand should touch the left foot and the right arm should be extended upwards by the side of the head. Care should be taken that the body does not lean forward or backward. It should also be repeated on the other side.

It relieves backache, sciatica and body pain. It also cures skin diseases. It helps in increasing height and cures the ailments of the lungs . This asana helps the pregnant women. It harmonises and equilibrates the numerous nerves in the body. Women with bent bodies or those who experience difficulty in walking straight must practice this asana. More benefit is received by holding this posture for a longer time.
