Sit on the heels in such way that your right toe overlaps the left toe or left toe overlaps the right toe with heels apart, while keeping the spine straight. Look straight placing your hands on the thighs.

By practice of this asana, the body becomes strong and firm, especially toes, knees, legs and thighs. It gives strength, courage and improves digestion. It is very useful in relieving stomach ailments. If this asana is practiced for 5 minutes after meals, it helps in the speedy digestion of food.
