Both offered their ceremonial evening prayers with the lighted lamp to Sai Baba, in the Dwarakamai Temple. After the prayer, Sai Baba demanded a donation of Rs 15/- from Ravi Lal. He abruptly paid the same. But when Shankar Das also desired to offer Rs 15/-, Sai Baba turned down his request. Seeing this discrimination, all the devotees were taken aback. When Shama asked Sai Baba to tell him the mystery of the discrimination, he said, "Shama, I have never taken anything from anybody till today. The Dwarakamai Temple demands its dues from its devotees. Those who give donations are exempted from all their debts. Man has got to repent for all his sins. Ravi Lal also committed a sin.
