Ashwini Mudra (house mudra)

Sit in any meditative pose. Relax the whole body. Close the eyes and breathe normally. Contract the sphincter muscles of the anus for a few seconds, and then relax them for a few seconds. Repeat the process as many times as possible.


By this practice, the vital force can be conserved and directed upwards for spiritual purposes. It is very useful for people suffering from piles or prolapse of the rectum or uterus. It stimulates intestinal peristalsis, thus removing constipation.
